Únicos 2020 «Beauty and Utility»

Forty-five renowned professionals of artistic trades will participate in the nine virtual seminars of the Únicos program, National Handicraft Award.

Under the slogan "Beauty and utility", the activity organized by FOACAL and CEARCAL and financed by the Junta de Castilla y León promotes entrepreneurship to take advantage of the potential of crafts as a generator of employment.

The seminars, free of charge, will be held between November 10 and 25 in the Art schools of the nine provinces of Castilla y León, with programs adapted to the specialties of each one.

Isidro Ferrer, winner of the National Design and Illustration Award, the artist and editor José Noriega, and the creator of props for film and television Juan Villa are on the list of speakers.

The Unicos project, created by the Federation of Craft Organizations of Castilla y León (FOACAL) in 2015, received last year the endorsement of the National Craft Award, which is awarded by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, in the modality reserved to entities private. The program aimed at promoting artistic and traditional trades due to their potential to generate wealth and employment will hold a new edition this November, the sixth, with nine free seminars, aimed at students of the Art schools of the Community, in which 45 recognized professionals in their respective fields will participate.
