Selective Escola d'Art i Superior de Ceràmica de Manises organizes, under the heading FUTURE CERAMICS, the fourth conference on ceramic technology and design. The session will take place in the auditorium of the center, on the morning of Friday, April 23. The event will be broadcast live via streaming from the school.
With these conferences the EA + SC of Manises highlights the importance that technological innovation in the ceramic sector has acquired in recent years, revealing some of the trends and effects of the transformation of this sector, a community that also incorporates improvements to achieve more efficient, productive and sustainable processes.
Professionals and specialists such as Begoña Ferrari, científica titular del Instituto de Cerámica y Vidrio y del CSIC, que nos hablara de nuevos materiales y soluciones tecnológicas cerámicas, o Joaquín Peris, técnico de laboratorio y de aplicación de la empresa Zschimmer & Schwarz, cuya charla versará sobre aditivos cerámicos.
Design and new social challenges

Under these premises, Lutzia Ortiz and Ana Benavente, responsible for HABITAT TRENDS OBSERVATORY (OTH) y la Unidad de Diseño de Productos del ITC, dentro del área del hábitat, nos hablarán de algunas de las vías de exploración sobre aplicaciones cerámicas en mobiliario e iluminación que los nuevos artesanos y diseñadores están anticipando para construir estos nuevos futuribles. Dichos escenarios contienen visiones coherentes de posibilidades estratégicas futuras para la artesanía del siglo XXI que se podrán en relieve a lo largo de la presentación, mediante un somero análisis de las principales tendencias en cerámica sin perder de vista otros sectores de gran interés dentro de la artesanía para el hábitat.
