Baths of the Admiral

Project Vision

Restoration of the skylights of the Los Baños del Almirante building, a Mudejar building that is located next to the Palacio de los Almirantes de Aragón, in the historic center of Valencia and which were built between 1313 and 1320.

The building called Baños del Almirante is a medieval construction from the Christian era, intended as a public bath that followed the tradition of the Arab steam baths or hammàm.

These baths constitute a singular example of Mudejar art in the Valencian Community and it is not one of the few baths in Spain, but the only one, in the Arab or Mudejar style that have been continuously active since its foundation until the 20th century.

The restoration of the skylights was carried out using the technique of thermoforming.
