On the occasion of the celebration of the XII International Festival of Medium-length Films of Valencia - La Cabina, Vidrio sorribes has designed and manufactured the trophies that will be awarded to the winners of this reference festival in Spain and Europe for this audiovisual format.
The trophy was presented at a press conference in the Aula Magna of the Center Cultural La Nau, with the presence of Antonio Ariño, Vice-rector for Culture and Sports of the University of Valencia; José Luis Moreno, Deputy Director of Audiovisuals and Cinematography of the IVC; Maite Ibáñez, Councilor for Cultural Action of the Valencia City Council; Sara Mansanet, Director of the festival; and Sara Sorribes, Vidrio Sorribes artisan, creator of this edition's trophy.
Our artisan expressed her gratitude to the organization of La Cabina “It has been an honor to be able to carry out this trophy with total freedom. The only guidelines that Sara (Mansanet) gave me were the concepts of "time, Valencia and your art". In this sense, we wanted to pay tribute to the 100 years of history that the Sorribes surname has been making hourglasses in an artisanal way, and we have put the identity of the city of Valencia by filling them with Malvarrosa sand. This trophy carries a part of us and of the City of Valencia.
