The Generalita Valenciana through the Valencian Community Handicraft Center convened the I Edition of the "Valencia Community Handicraft Awards" to encourage artisanal creation, innovation and adaptation to market trends, as well as to reward the Community's artisan work Valencia through social and business recognition.
At Vidrio Sorribes we are proud to have been finalists in two categories, “Vanguadia” and “New Crafts” in this first contest, led by the design studio Sanserif Creatius and the designer Emerita Canet.
The "Avant-garde Craftsmanship" Award distinguishes creativity and innovation especially applied to obtaining advanced, singular and unique artisan products, where the Sanserif Creatius studio has given us the opportunity to show a more avant-garde and current side of craftsmanship.
Finally, the «New Handicraft» Award, which is committed to the creation of collaboration synergies between artisans and students and graduates in subjects and knowledge related to handicrafts, aimed at satisfying the needs of consumers and the demands of the market, has allowed us to the hand of Emerita Canet offer a vision of collaboration between our artisan workshop and the new generations of designers who make their way by betting on a renewal air.
