The glass that keeps a secret: The soul of the Benidorm Fest is born in Vidrio Sorribes

While the spotlights on Avenida de Bilbao in Benidorm shone on the artists and the televoting grew into a roar, time stood still in the refuge of our workshop. Between the warmth of the fire and the legacy of three generations, something more than an award was being forged: a symbol of hope and sustainability was taking shape.

This year, the Benidorm Fest It has not only sought the melody that will represent us in Europe; it has sought the commitment of thousands of people through the initiative «Vota con Vidrio» from Ecovidrio. And at Vidrio Sorribes we have had the honor of acting as alchemists in charge of transforming that citizen will into an eternal object.

The metamorphosis of the vote: Where tradition becomes light

The concept was as powerful as it was simple: to turn the everyday act of recycling a container into a real vote. But the real challenge for Sara Sorribes was about elevating that message through the magic that defines our house. A magic that cannot be explained, it is felt, and that has been beating in our workshop for over a hundred years.

The award presented to the winners, María León and Julia Medinawasn't born from an industrial mold or an assembly line. It was born from the intimate dialogue between the artisan and 100% recycled glass; a material that reaches our hands laden with past stories and that we, through fire and family legacy, purify until we transform it into a jewel of light.

For us, every curve of this award is a whisper of the past projected into the future. It is the legacy of a centuries-old craft that has transformed itself so that, today, the dreams of thousands of fans shine with the transparency and elegance that only designer glass can offer.

María León and Julia Medina: A talent that is now eternal

On February 13th, the stage lit up for them. The artists captivated the audience with their song. «Las damas y el vagabundo»they received a piece that holds a profound meaning. With nearly 400 recycled containers in its name, they became a favorite among the most environmentally conscious fans.

For Vidrio Sorribesbeing part of this story means bringing our essence—the essence that was born in test tubes and now blossoms in cutting-edge design—to the heart of contemporary culture. It is proof that art, when nourished by respect for the earth, becomes invincible.

A century of fire, a moment of beauty

From our workshop in Valencia to the final applause in Benidorm, the journey of this trophy defines who we are: guardians of an undying fire and creators of impossible worlds captured in glass.

Because in the end, when the music fades and the stage goes dark, what remains is the light we’ve managed to capture in glass. And if that light is born from a collective effort for a better world, its glow is, quite simply, eternal.
